Does TIE do that?
Yes, TIE does that!

The title of our organization is Technology and Innovation in Education, and that’s what we do.  We provide services to organizations, focused on current technologies or recent innovations, and we mostly do so for those in the education sector, though we are available to work with any group.

Membership and Workshops

TIE has a membership that consists of most public schools in South Dakota, in addition to other organizations in the region. Membership comes with benefits, such as reduced conference rates and vendor discounts, but our services are available to non-members as well.  One of the most popular benefits is our workshop offerings.  Teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals have all given our workshops excellent reviews for their content and for the supportive facilitation provided by our professional staff.

TIE Professional Development

TIE professionals can deliver services to meet your needs. We can travel to your school for onsite face-to-face learning. We can couple a face-to-face event with online support in order to create a blended learning environment that extends the learning event. We can also create an entirely online customized learning experience for your staff using the latest innovative technologies.

Projects

It’s possible that TIE staff and resources are closer than you might think.  TIE is or has been a participant in each of the following
projects:  Learning Power, South Dakota Counts, PR1ME, Thinkfinity, Dakota Character, Mountains of History, and Dakota Assets.  We love opportunities to work in schools, with teachers, students, administrators, school board members, and the communities that support them.

Resources

Learning does not happen in isolation, so TIE participates in a number of social media resources.  Follow us on Twitter, friend us on facebook, and become a part of our learning network.  When TIE professionals find good information, they can’t help but share, whether it’s information from our monthly newsletter or resources on our TIE-lights blog, you’ll be in the know with TIE.
